Rod-type magnetic separators and magnetic gratings are a widely used method for extracting magnetic fragments from bins, trays, gravity feed systems. The lattice configuration allows you to “cascade” (make several rows) the product by assembling high-strength magnetic rods.
Depending on the type of product being separated, the throughput of the system and the types of metal contamination, the following should be calculated: the diameter of the rod, the distance between the rods and the structure of the rod, the material of the rod casing for abrasion resistance, the type and number of magnets installed in it.
Principle of operation:
The product comes into direct contact with the rods, and magnetic pollution is “washed” on the underside of the rods, where the contaminants remain. The main working element of these devices are stainless steel tubes parallel to which special magnets are mounted. The magnetic grid created in this way can be located in one or in two rows. When separating bulk material through such a device, the passage of ferromagnetic impurities is almost completely eliminated.
